Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on Saturday that "we have adopted the most comprehensive and strictest prevention and control measures, and many of them go far beyond the requirements of the International Health Regulation."

"China's efforts are [aimed at] not only protecting the health of its own people but also safeguarding the health of people worldwide. Governments and the World Health Organization (WHO) have given full recognition to this," Wang said.

🐬 Requesting guidance for next week from you big sharks :

50ma slideshow > FXI ,,, IWM ,,, INDU ,,, SPX ,,, COMPQ ... "Small Caps Lead" mantra ,,, so does one buy PUTs fist on IWM ,,, and then proceed to each of the others in progression ? ... just thinking out load as to what the trading plan should be in the future for the next time the Markets are way overvalued ...

So ~ for RIGHT NOW ~ is COMPQ the one to short with PUTs or otherwise ? ,,, since it hasn't fell as much yet ,,, so PUTs may still be comparatively cheap yet ,,, but COMPQ most likely (ODDS) will follow the others down ... ,,, ...  someone please tell me ,,, what are the symbols to go short or ultra short the COMPQ ? ... I will have to open up my broker account site ~ to see if options are available on the COMPQ to buy PUTs & if I can afford them with my small dry powder barrel ... same question for IWM _ INDU _ SPX _  ,,, if some one can give an answer ,,, I can copy and paste it to my Littleshark home Library where i saved the trading plans that all you guys gave me in the past ...

What is the best way to play downside of COMPQ ? ,,, some one educate me please ...

Here is what I learned while playing FXI options this week ... the steeper the "waterfall" the faster the gains and the down momentum has best ODDS of continuing ,,, as it did the past two weeks ... do you see the price H&S top ? ,,, and how RSI(14) printed that ? ... ~ do you see the H&S top now ? ...

If i had been buying PUTs on any of the other index charts above ~ would my gains have been as great or as sure odds for success ? ,,, let's check > FXI ,,, IWM ,,, INDU ,,, SPX ,,, COMPQ ... Conclusion >>> i chose the right vehicle for PUTs because FXI was by far the hardest steepest "Waterfall" play ... I couldn't have achieved my % gains on the others ... lets check % of drop since FXI Jan.17 H&S top right shoulder ... FXI -11.9% ,,, IWM -5.05% ,,, INDU -3.72% ,,, SPX -3.13% ,,, COMPQ -2.53% ='s FXI is head and shoulders above the rest as the clear winner ...

BUT ! ~ which one is the best to short next week ? ... I really would like to know what you guys think ,,, the one that has fallen the least so far ? ,,, or the one that is falling the fastest and hardest ? ,,, or should I be using some other criteria to find next weeks winner now ? ... at the moment ~ I am still set up short FXI 100% with PUTs ,,, not playing any of the others yet ~ should I be ? ...

ABC News is the latest American media outlet to collect footage from Wuhan via drone. The haunting footage clearly shows the scope of the lockdown. An entire city as big as New York, with almost nobody outside or in the streets.

This is becoming an increasingly common sight across China.

We got some interesting corporate news overnight: Apple announced early Saturday that it would close all of its stores and offices in China at least through Feb. 9. Already, the factories of many of its suppliers (like Foxconn) have been impacted by holiday "extensions" that will keep them closed through at least early Feb.

As of midday on Saturday, at least 19 provinces, municipalities and regions have told businesses not to resume work before Feb. 10 at the earliest, according to CNBC, which also noted that Disney, Tesla several US airlines and myriad other American business have suspended operations in China. Hubei, the center of the outbreak, has reportedly extended its Lunar New Year holiday until Feb. 13.

If people here had no paycheck coming in ,,, most would be in dire straights ... those Chinese not going to work are not earning any paycheck either ... and sitting at home getting cabin fever ... and more confused or more angry ...

The bigger question in my mind is: "With trains and trucking shut down not bring in new supplies ~ how long before cities of 11 million people run out of food ? " ..

When we have a just a 3 day blizzard here & trucks don't come to our small town grocery store ~ the shelves become very noticeably emptier ,,, until trucks start rolling again once the roads are cleared ... they have to be running low on food ? ...

In his work ,,, my son-in-law regularly works with some company employees in China through the computer ,,, he says they tell him that they get very little news about the virus from their government ,,, they say we here in the USA probably know way more then they what is going on ...

Senator Tom Cotton Shreds China's Official Virus Story, Warns Of "Super Laboratory" Proximity

A United States senator is casting major doubt on the Chinese government’s official story on the 2019 novel coronavirus outbreak, instead hinting that a biosafety laboratory working with the deadliest pathogens in the world could be the true source.

Republican Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas dismantled a claim from China’s communist regime Thursday that pinned the coronavirus outbreak on a market selling dead and live animals.

Cotton referenced a Lancet study which showed that many of the first cases of the novel coronavirus, including patient zero, had no connection to the wet market — devastatingly undermining China’s claim.

“As one epidemiologist said: ‘That virus went into the seafood market before it came out of the seafood market.’ We still don’t know where it originated,” Cotton said.

“I would note that Wuhan also has China’s only bio-safety level four super laboratory that works with the world’s most deadly pathogens to include, yes, coronavirus.”

The coronavirus is less deadly than SARS — but that may explain why it’s more contagious

An effective virus can spread by not being too virulent like influenza and/or sustaining a long incubation period like HIV

The coronavirus is now responsible for 259 deaths in China. It has a lower fatality rate than SARS, but that also makes it potentially more likely to spread.

Two months into the epidemic, the coronavirus has not proven to be as deadly as the SARS virus. That, however, may also help explain why it’s spreading so quickly. It has an incubation period of up to two weeks, which enables the virus to spread through person-to-person contact.
